15 locals nominated for McDonald's All-American games

Fifteen local girls and boys basketball players have been nominated for the 2011 McDonald's All-American Games on March 30. The final rosters -- chosen from among the 2,000 nominees -- will be announced next month.

The boys nominees are Kendrick Anderson and Nick Faust, City; Greg Lewis and R.J. Williams, St. Frances; Greg Whittington, Oakland Mills; Eric Savage, Old Mill; and James Milton, Parkville;

The girls nominees are Maggie Morrison, Archbishop Spalding; Amber Singletary and Liz Brown, Seton Keough; Ciara Webb, Patterson; Taryn Durant and Candice Hendricks, McDonogh; Brielle Ward, Western; and Indigo Dickens, Wilde Lake.

The final 24 boys and 24 girls will be named Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. on the McDonald's All-American Selection Show on ESPNU. The games will be played at the United Center in Chicago.
