The method: I go out to watch these girls play, in their high school and their spring/summer settings. I look at them from the perspective of the game of basketball, NOT of girls basketball. My eye is geared towards looking at what position each girl will play in college. I show a preference for girls who display/show the following attributes: Defensive sensibilities, Offensive skills for their positions, and for the offensive game overall, Have a feel for the game, or some basketball IQ, Some athleticism, Have attitude, focus, and commitment Finally, I look at whom I would draft, if I were putting together a college women’s major-Division –I team.
